Price: 750 € per session

At the end of this training, the professional will be able to use hypnosis in his initial field of competence and to offer pain management tools to patients.

He will be able to develop patient-centered care, to optimize his therapeutic communication in order to improve patient / carer cooperation, adherence to care and patient participation in the therapeutic project.

The professional will be able to use hypnosis to optimize the management of acute pain, chronic pain and pain associated with patient care.

The complete training consists of 2 sessions of 3 days.

  1. Integrate hypnosis into its initial field of competence in order to optimize the management of acute, chronic and care-related pain by making the patient actor of his care

  2. Improve the professional's therapeutic communication in order to develop appropriate patient / carer cooperation and optimize adherence and participation in the patient's therapeutic plan

  3. Develop patient-centered care in order to identify the risk factors for the chronicization of pain and adapt the treatment plan

Prerequisites

Session 1 :

 

The paramedical health professional candidate must send us a signed " certificate on honor for practices relating to hypnosis " confirming the use of techniques acquired in the care team and under medical responsibility.

Session 2 :

The candidate must have followed session 1 to participate in session 2.

Session 1 :

 

Day 1 :

• Pretest
• Hypnosis: history, evolution and neuroscientific insights
• Hypnotic communication adapted to rehabilitation
• Hypnotic communication exercise and rehabilitation gesture
• Basic hypnosis exercise: projection in a memory
• Basic hypnosis exercise: projection in a memory
• Sequence of a hypnosis exercise integrated into an intermediate exercise rehabilitation session

• Hypnosis: projection in a place
• Conclusion and discussions

 

Day 2:

• Question - answer from the day before

• Intermediate hypnosis exercise

• Hypnosis: state or process? What changes for clinicians

• Intermediate hypnosis exercise

• The different techniques of hypnosis and induction

• Complete hypnosis exercise and integration into a rehabilitation session

• Conclusion and discussions

 

 

Day 3:

• Question - answer from the day before

• The different types of suggestion

• Advanced hypnosis exercise integrated into rehabilitation

• Explanation of hypnosis, patient education and definition

• Prescription of self-hypnosis

• Role identity and meta-suggestion: study of a clinical patient case in video

• Conclusion and discussions

• Post test and satisfaction questionnaire

Day 1 :

• Review of the different suggestions used in pain management in rehabilitation 
• The ideomotor phenomena in rehabilitation

• Advanced hypnosis exercise: anchoring and empowering the patient

Day 2:

• Hypnotic metaphors: structures and different uses in rehabilitation

• Exercise in the use of metaphors in rehabilitation 

• Hypnosis advance exercise: reification

• Hypnosis advance exercise: "the magic glove

• Complete hypnosis exercise and integration in rehabilitation session

Day 3:

• Pain and identification of the transition to chronicity: psychosocial risks 

• Hypnosis and clinical reasoning in pain management

• Advanced hypnosis exercise in rehabilitation

• Advanced communication techniques and pain management

Théo Chaumeil, graduated in physiotherapy since 2016, holds a Master 2 in STAPS with a specialization in Psychology, Motor Control and Sports Performance at the University of Paris-Saclay.

Théo is a freelance physiotherapist and specializes in the field of musculoskeletal and in the management of persistent pain. He works with several Parisian pain centers and has been collaborating for several years with the Fight Against Pain network (LCD Network).

He intervenes in initial training as a temporary teacher at the IFMK of La Musse (Evreux) on the themes of persistent pain and therapeutic means of management. He has also developed a continuing education trainer activity (GEMK, ShakeUp, SRP Formation, KYMO formation, Hypnotim) by offering training on therapeutic communication, pain management through hypnosis as well as the optimization of contextual effects.

He also works with AP-HP hospitals with the College of Hypnosis and Integrative Therapies of Paris (CHTIP) to train healthcare professionals in clinical hypnosis.

 

His commitment to the profession allows him to also collaborate with the Pain Interest Group of the French Society of Physiotherapy where he sits in the office and takes care of communication.
