Kinésio taping® was invented in by Dr. Kenzo Kase, chiropractor, to prolong the therapeutic effect of his manual treatments.

The effects induced by Taping are, in part, linked to the tension applied to the tape which is then transmitted to the skin then to the subcutaneous tissues (The tapes used can restore this elasticity/tension up to 5 days).

These  mechanical stimulations then interact with the numerous  receptors present in the skin and subcutaneous tissues, to  produce neurophysiological reactions in cascades.

Geoffrey DELAS is an Osteopath and Physiotherapist.

Trained since 2008 in Kinesio Taping, becoming a course assistant for the Kinesio France Formation organization (an organization dependent on Kenzo Kase, the inventor of Kinesio Taping), Geoffrey has been teaching taping since 2011, at Institute of Podiatry at Bordeaux University Hospital, then since 2012 he has taught a revisited version of taping: dermo-neuro-muscular taping.

The Kinesio Taping model is controversial today, because it is based on certain notions that lack scientific validity. The need to reconcile the practice of Taping with scientific evidence, as well as critical thinking, led to the development of this Dermo Neuro Muscular Taping course.

Geoffrey, considers the tape as a “decoy” , that is to say that he uses the tap to give “soothing” sensory information to the nervous system in order to allow it to modify the protective reactions that it can produce, such as pain, muscular reactions, inflammatory reactions, etc.

This two-day Dermo-Neuro-Muscular Taping training is focused on certain theoretical notions and an important place is given to practice.

It is intended exclusively for health practitioners: Doctors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Podiatrists, and Chiropractors.
