About

Today we present to you a Taping pose to test on your patient in the event of lateral epicondylalgia of the elbow. In this video, our taping expert, Geoffrey Delas shows you the recipe he uses when a patient suffers from this type of pain. Epicondylalgia is multifactorial and it is often a chronic pain syndrome more or less associated with a degenerative tendon pathology (extensor carpi radialis brevis and/or extensor digitorum brevis most often). Sometimes a mechano-sensitivity of the radial nerve is associated and it will be necessary to investigate with appropriate neurodynamic tests. 👉 Note: - 𝗟𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲. Since pain leads to muscular protection, the first taping strip is of the “muscle correction” type, the direction of the strip being determined by the skin traction test which modulates the pain. - 𝗟𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲́𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗮, crucial for the elbow. For the elbow (as for the knee), it is almost systematically necessary to complete with a so-called “fascia” correction (traction of the soft tissues) which will this time be tangential to the axis of the joint (direction of the band determined by the test). skin traction). Ps: This tapping technique does not exempt you from the usual techniques for treating lateral epicondylalgia but remains a very useful complement to these techniques! Don't let your patients suffer needlessly!
